
Before you can vote in a Wyoming election, you must register as a voter using the Voter Registration Form (to access the form, click here.) Registrants must fulfill the following qualifications (according to the Wyoming Secretary of State’s Office:)
Registration closes on August 5, 2024, for the Primary Election and on October 21, 2024. However, voters may choose to register and vote in person on the same day during the voting period. For the Primary Election, that time period is August 6 to August 19. For the General Election, that time period is October 22 to November 4.
Where to Register for Voting in Laramie County:
To register for voting, you can either visit the County Clerk’s office or website for information on registration locations. Alternatively, you can register by mail. To register by mail, you must have a completed Wyoming voter registration application and copies of your acceptable identification. Wyoming allows for two voting methods: absentee (otherwise known as early voting) and Election Day voting.
What is Absentee Voting? How Do You Absentee Vote?
Absentee voting is a way for you to cast a ballot without having to vote in person at a polling place or voting center. Absentee ballots are often used for individuals traveling, deployed military members, or busy folks wanting to ensure they fulfill their civic duties despite their schedule. Absentee voting in Wyoming requires a specific form – you must request the form via one of the following methods (according to the Wyoming Secretary of State’s Office:)
All Absentee ballots must be received in the county clerk’s office no later than 7:00 p.m. on Election Day for both the Primary and General Elections. How to Vote on Election Day
Visit your local County Clerk’s website to find a nearby voting location. Bring your Valid ID and any necessary documents if you need to register at the same time. Hop in line and get ready to vote.
